Kigali Farmers´ And Artisans´ Market

Our Story

Kigali Farmers’ And Artisans’ Market is an Impact Entrepreneurship created to bring together farmers and artisans operating in Rwanda, as well as other African countries, with the goal of bridging the gap between producers and consumers. Our focus is working with home industries and MSMES and we are the first and consistent market of its kind in Rwanda having been in operation since June 2017

Our markets provide a direct connection to farms, nurseries, bakeries, meat and seafood providers, cheese makers, specialty food producers, crafters and artisans and operate a market that contributes to the success of local artisans, food growers and producers and creates vibrant community gatherings.

Mombasa Farmers’ And Artisans’ Market

Mbsfaam was started in April 2019 – as a sister market to Kigalifaam – and is held in Mombasa, Kenya. It is the first market in the area – of its kind – promoting primarily #madeinkenya producers as well as #madeinafrica.

The Markets With COVID 19

With lockdown/quarantine initiated early in Rwanda, and later in Kenya, we have temporarily ceased having markets till further notice. This has however not stopped us from continuing to work with vendors from Rwanda and Africa while still practising social distancing.

We are excited about the new changes that we are undergoing and we are looking forward to getting back to our vibrant physical markets as our online presence continues to grow.
